Shipping
- The Shipping module allows picked inventory to be shipped or delivered to the customer.
- To see the shipment for an order, click Shipping in the Flow bar at the top of the order.

- To pack items into multiple packages, click the ADD PACKAGE button.
- To ship the order, click the SHIP button in the action bar.
Saved views
The shipments that are listed in the Shipping module will change depending on the selection in the Saved Views dropdown menu on the top-right of the window. There are two options:
- All Open View (Default) - Shipments with the Open and Packed status will appear.
- All View - Shipments with every status will appear.
To create a new saved view, click the Advanced Search button on the top-left of the interface and select at least one search parameter. Click the blue SEARCH button on the bottom-right of the popup. Then click the Save View button under the Search bar. Enter a name for it, and save it.
Once you have done that, the new option will appear in the Saved Views dropdown menu under the first two options. You can repeat these steps to add as many as you like.
Main section
The first time you go to the Shipping module, it will likely be empty. But as you generate sales orders and Credit Return purchase orders, this module’s main section will begin to fill up with picked orders ready to pack and ship.
A sales order appears in the Shipping module after you click the ISSUE button in the Sales Orders module and then finish picking it in the Picking module. And a certain type of purchase order appears in the Picking module after you click the ISSUE button in the Purchase Orders module and then finish picking it in the Picking module. There is no way to create a shipment within the Shipping module itself.
You will see the following headers in this section:
- Select All - This allows you to select or unselect all shipments listed on the page.
- Ship - The shipment number, which corresponds to the sales order number in the Sales Orders module or the purchase order number in the Purchase Orders module.
- Status - The condition of a shipment. There are three statuses a shipment can have:
- OPEN - Shipping has not started yet.
- PACKED - Units are packed in at least one container and are ready to be shipped.
- SHIPPED - All units in the order are shipped.
- Priority - A shipment’s level of importance or urgency. There are five priority levels a shipment can have:
- Highest
- High
- Normal
- Low
- Lowest
- Order No. - The sales order number a shipment is connected to. If it comes from a purchase order, this field will be blank.
- Package(s) - The number of shipping containers that items in the order are packed in.
- Item(s) - The number of items being shipped, though not the number of units included under each item.
- Ship to - The final destination of the item(s) in an order.
- Carrier - The party responsible for shipping the item(s) in a sales order or purchase order.
- Date Created - The month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) an order was created.
- Date Last Modified - The month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) a shipment was most recently updated and saved by a user.
- Shipped - The month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) a shipment was given to a carrier for delivery.
Action bar in the main section
When you click the checkbox on the left of a shipment, you will see the following options appear in the action bar at the top of the main Shipping module page:
- VOID - This returns all selected shipments to their original status of OPEN.
- More - This button is always on the top-right of the module, whether or not you have selected a shipment. It enables you to create/modify custom fields and change dates.
More button in the main section
There are two things you can do with the
More button in the main section of the Shipping module:
- Custom Fields
- Change Dates
You will find explanations of everything contained in these options below.
Custom fields
Clicking the Custom Fields option will bring up a wizard that allows you to add, edit, and delete custom fields on the General tab of a shipment. The list will be blank at first, of course.
To add a new custom field, click ADD FIELD on the top-right. Then enter a name and type for it. Your type options are:
- Number - A textbox that only allows numeric characters to be typed into it.
- Text - A textbox that allows alphanumeric characters to be entered.
- Date - A field for adding dates in the following format: MM/DD/YYYY. A calendar option lets users select dates from a calendar if they prefer not to type them by hand.
- Checkbox - A small box that can be checked or unchecked to indicate yes or no, respectively.
- Single Choice - A dropdown menu of text options. If selected, this will ask you to enter at least one row to appear in the dropdown menu. Users can only select one of the options available.
- Multiple Choice - A dropdown menu of text options. If selected, this will ask you to enter at least one row to appear in the dropdown menu. Users can select one or more of the options available.
- URL - A textbox that lets you add a website address in relation to a shipment or any of the items in it.
When creating or editing a custom field, click the Required checkbox to make it a required field. Otherwise, it will be optional. Then click ADD to save it, or click CANCEL or the X on the top-right to get rid of it. If you’re editing an existing custom field, clicking CANCEL or the X won’t delete it but will simply return it to its original state. You can also click the Required toggle switch next to a custom field in the main wizard to turn that function on or off.
To delete a custom field, click the
More button to the right of it in the Custom Fields wizard. Then select Delete from the dropdown menu. You can also select Edit or Duplicate from that menu.
To change the order of custom fields, click ORDER FIELDS to the left of ADD FIELD. Then select one of the custom fields and click the up or down arrow on the right to move it. You can do this to each custom field until they’re all in the order you want them to be in.
Only the first three custom fields will show up automatically in the General tab of a shipment. Any others can be viewed after clicking the SHOW MORE button. Bear this in mind when creating and ordering them. Click the SAVE ORDER button to apply your changes to the wizard, and then click the SAVE button to apply those changes to the Shipping module.
Change dates
When you click Change Dates under the
More button, you will find you have three options for the Date column:
- Date Created - A permanent marker that denotes the month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) an order was first saved.
- Date Last Modified - A changeable marker that denotes the most recent month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) a shipment was updated and saved by a user.
- Date Shipped - The month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) an order was shipped.
You can select whichever one will best help you organize the shipments in the Shipping module. And you can still see all three when you hover your mouse over a date.
How to pack and ship items
To pack and ship items in an order, click one of the orders in the main section of the Shipping module. This will open it up.
In the action bar of a shipment, you will find the following buttons:
- PACK - This packs all items into the package(s) that are in the Items section. Clicking this triggers a processing spinner and dialogue box informing you that the shipment has been packed and saved.
- UNPACK - This returns all items to the unpacked status. Clicking this triggers a processing spinner and dialogue box informing you that the shipment has been unpacked and saved.
- SHIP - This changes the status of all items in the shipment to Shipped. Clicking this triggers a processing spinner and dialogue box informing you that the shipment has been shipped and saved.
- SAVE - This saves your changes to the shipment and allows you to continue working on it. Clicking this triggers a processing spinner and dialogue box informing you that the shipment has been saved.
- More - This gives you the option to print a Packing List or Shipping Invoice. We talk more about those two reports later in this article.
- X - This closes the shipment and returns you to the main section of the Shipping module. If you have unsaved changes, it will prompt you to either save or discard them.
If you are integrated with Shippo or ShipStation, you will be able to click an arrow on the side of the SHIP button and select one of these three options:
- Quick Ship - This allows you to instantly mark all items as shipped. You will need to verify the Ship To address, have a valid address as your company’s Default location in the Company section of the Settings module, and have the dimensions of the package set, and a carrier and carrier service set.
- Purchase Label - This requires the same information as the Quick Ship option. When you click it, the Purchase label wizard will appear with the following fields to fill out. Required fields are marked with an asterisk:
- Billing Type* - A dropdown menu that lets you select the person responsible for paying for the shipping. There are two options:
- Sender - You are responsible for the shipping bill.
- Recipient/Third Party - The person receiving the shipment or someone else is responsible for paying the shipping. If you select this option, you will be asked to select a Carrier Account.
- Carrier Account - A dropdown menu containing the account information associated with the third party paying for shipping. If there are no options, you can enter the name and then click the +Add option to open a popup to fill out about the carrier account.
- Packaging - A dropdown menu of all FedEx, UPS, and USPS package types. This would get really long if we listed the dozens of options here.
- Reference Field 1 - A textbox automatically populated with the identifying number, name, or date you set in the Integrations module. It can be one of the following options:
- Order ID
- Order Number
- Customer Name
- Customer PO
- Phone
- Notes
- Date Created
- Date Issued
- Date Scheduled
- Date Expired
- Shipping Terms
- Payment Terms
- Sales Representative
- Reference Field 2 - A textbox automatically populated with the identifying number, name, or date you set in the Integrations module. It can be one of the options listed above for Reference Field 1.
- Recipient Phone* - A textbox containing the customer’s phone number, as set up in the Customers module.
- Recipient Email* - A textbox containing the customer’s email address, as set up in the Customers module.
- Label File Type - A dropdown menu containing the file types the shipping label can be in:
- PNG
- PNG 2.3 x 7.5
- PDF 2.3 x 7.5
- PDF 4 x 6
- PDF 4 x 8
- PDF A4
- PDF A6
- ZPLII
- Use Retail Rates - A checkbox that enables retail shipping rates to be used.
- Saturday Delivery - A checkbox that enables delivery to the customer on more than just weekdays.
- Contains Dry Ice - A checkbox that enables you to enter a dry ice weight, and select a unit of measure to attach to the number.
- Contains Alcohol - A checkbox that enables you to select a recipient type:
- Licensee
- Consumer
- COD - A checkbox that enables you to select a payment method and then enter the dollar amount. There is a Currency module that enables you to create multiple currencies to select from in addition to the US dollar. The payment methods are:
- Secured Funds
- Cash
- Any
- Signature Confirmation - A checkbox that enables you to select a type of signature confirmation for the delivery:
- Standard - Anyone at the destination can sign for the package.
- Adult - Only someone 21 years of age or older can sign for the package.
- Certified - Only a specified person can sign for the package.
- Indirect - The package can be signed for by someone at a neighboring address if no one is available at the destination.
- Carrier Confirmation - A document sent to the carrier with prices, terms and conditions, and detailed instructions on how to deliver items.
- Purchase return label - A checkbox that enables you to purchase a return label to include in the shipment. You can use this for items intended to be returned for a number of reasons.
- Fulfill - This instantly marks all items as shipped, even if the Quick Ship qualifications aren’t met.
As you begin to cycle through the packing and shipping process, the first three buttons will begin to change or disappear, and they will be replaced by the following button:
- VOID - This returns all shipped items to their original status. The Shipped date will remain, though. Clicking this triggers a processing spinner and dialogue box informing you that the shipment has been voided and saved. If you assign new tracking types to any items in a shipment after you click the SHIP button, you won’t be able to void the shipment.
Below the action bar in a shipment, you will see two tabs:
General tab
You will find the following textboxes and dropdown menus in the General tab of a shipment:
- Priority - A dropdown menu that lets you assign a level of importance or urgency to the shipment. It will be automatically populated with your default priority. You can change the default priority in the Company section of the Settings module. Your options are:
- Highest
- High
- Normal
- Low
- Lowest
- Sales Order - The order number the shipment is connected to. This can be either the sales order number or purchase order number.
- Shipped - The month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) the shipment was marked as Shipped. It will say N/A if it hasn’t been shipped yet.
- Customer - The name of the customer on the sales order or purchase order. You can’t change the customer from here. You can only do that within the module the order was created in. You can quickly go there by clicking the option on the left of the Flow bar atop the Shipping module.
- Carrier - A dropdown menu that lets you select a carrier from the Carriers module to deliver the shipment(s). You can’t create a new carrier from here.
- Service - A dropdown menu that lets you select one of the delivery services provided by the carrier you selected.
- Ship To - A dropdown menu that lets you select a location from the Addresses tab in the Customers module to ship items to. You can create a custom address by clicking the Clear option in the dropdown menu and then clicking Custom. Or you can modify an existing address by clicking it and then clicking Edit in the dropdown menu. Editing the address here won’t change it in the Customers module.
- Custom Fields - If you have created any custom fields, they will appear below the main group of textboxes atop the General tab of a shipment. Up to three custom fields will appear automatically. If you have more than that, you can click the SHOW MORE button to display all of them. The order they appear in will depend on what you set in the Custom Fields wizard of the Shipping module. To hide the extra custom fields, click HIDE FIELDS, and then only the first three will be visible again. You can change the information in these custom fields at any point until the shipment is completed.
Items section
There will be at least one package in the Items section when you first open a shipment. To add another package to put items into, click the following button on the top-right of this section:
- ADD PACKAGE - Clicking this button adds a shipping container to put items into.
In addition, there is one other button that appears to the left of ADD PACKAGE when you click the checkbox next to an item in a package in the Items section. That button is:
- MOVE ITEMS - Clicking this button opens a dropdown menu of all of the packages in the section below it. You can then choose a package to move the selected item(s) into.
Under the action bar are the following headers for each package:
- Package - This is the shipping container’s number. Each package is numbered, and you can’t change the number. The number of a new package is always one higher than the highest existing package number. For example, if you had two packages and were to delete Package 1 and then you added a new package, it would be called Package 3 or something higher. There would be no more package called Package 1 in this shipment.
- Cost - This is the amount of money being charged by the carrier for shipping each package. The number can have up to six digits after the decimal point.
- Insured Amount - This is the value of the package contents that the carrier has agreed to reimburse in the case of damage, loss, or theft in transit. The number can have up to six digits after the decimal point.
- Dimensions - This lets you set the item’s length, width, and height. Each number can have up to six digits after the decimal point. In addition, you can click the unit of measure on the right side of the textbox to select one from this list:
- Inches
- Feet
- Yards
- Millimeters
- Centimeters
- Meters
- Weight - This lets you edit the total mass of the package. It can have up to six digits after the decimal point. In addition, you can click the unit of measure on the right side of the textbox to select one from this list:
- Pounds
- Ounces
- Tons
- Kilograms
- Grams
- Carrier Tracking - This lets you enter the tracking number provided by the carrier for a specific package.
- Delete - This lets you remove an empty package from the list. If there are any items in a package, you won’t be able to delete it. If you want to delete a full package, you will need to first move all items out of it using the MOVE ITEMS button above or the Split feature below.
- Quantity - The number of units contained in the package.
- Item - The name, image, and description of the item being shipped.
- Unit Weight - The mass of each individual unit.
- View Tracking - Clicking this icon lets you see the item’s tracking information in a popup window. This tracking information can include one or more of the following options:
- Lot Number
- Expiration Date
- Serial Number
- Split - This opens a wizard to split units into separate packages. It is basically a combination of the ADD PACKAGE and MOVE ITEMS buttons above. This option is only clickable when the shipment has not yet been packed or shipped. The wizard has two fields to fill out:
- Quantity - A textbox to enter the number of units to move into a different package.
- Destination - A dropdown menu of the packages you can put the unit(s) into. You can create a new package by clicking Add new Package. Then click the blue button on the bottom-right of the wizard to complete the move.
Documents tab
To add files to an item, click the Documents tab, and then click the UPLOAD button on the top-right. The Upload Documents wizard will appear. You can either drag and drop files into the window, or you can click the BROWSE button on the bottom-left to select files to add and then click the ADD button.
Given the name of this tab, everything seems to be pointing toward only being able to add Word files. But the fact is that you can add virtually any file type in here, not just documents. In addition to DOC and DOCX files, you’ll find that JPG, GIF, PDF, XLSX, PPTX, and many other file types are permissible.
Once you add a file, you won’t be able to edit it. All you can do is download a copy of it. If you want to edit a file, you’ll need to download it, edit it, and upload the revised version.
To delete a file, click the trashcan icon with an X in it to the right of the file, and then click DELETE in the popup window.
Once you’ve made a change, whether adding or deleting a file, be sure to click SAVE or SAVE AND CLOSE to preserve your work.
Flow bar
The Flow bar on the top-left of the window lights up when you click on a shipment. It has options to go directly to the order the shipment is for in the Sales Orders module or Purchase Orders module. You can also go to the shipment’s pick in the Picking module by clicking on that option in the Flow bar. If you have any unsaved changes, you will receive a prompt asking if you want to save before leaving the Shipping module.
This is a smooth way to go back and make adjustments to the order or pick. You can return to the shipment in the Shipping module by clicking Shipping in the Flow bar. Whether the shipment is for a sales order or purchase order, it will link back to the applicable module on the left of Shipping in the Flow bar.
One thing to keep in mind is that when you return to the Shipping module via the Flow bar, you will technically be in a search. So if you close the shipment, you will only see that one listed on the main Shipping module page. To get out of the search and list all of your shipments, click the Show All Shipments button on the top-left under the search bar.
Packing List report
To view and modify the Packing List report, click the
More button in the action bar of a shipment and click Report. There are two options you will see listed:
- Packing List
- Shipping Invoice
Click the Packing List option, and it will generate that report for the shipment you’re currently viewing. The Packing List initially displays the following sections by default:
- Order # - The order number this shipment is associated with. By default, this is the sales order number or purchase order number generated by Fishbowl Drive. But there is a feature in the Optional section that lets you use the customer PO/SO number instead.
- Date - The month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) the order was shipped. If the shipment hasn’t yet been made, this section will be blank.
- Bill to - The customer’s address to send bills to for the order.
- Ship to - The final destination of the item(s) in the order. By default, this will be the Ship To address in the Shipping module. But there is a feature in the Optional section that lets you use the Ship To address in the Sales Orders module or Purchase Orders module the order was created in. Most likely, those two addresses are the same, but you have the option to select one or the other if there is a discrepancy.
- Package Count - The number of packages being shipped.
- Date Scheduled - The month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) the order is scheduled to be shipped by.
- FOB Point - The Free On Board Point that was selected for the order.
- Shipping Terms - The terms on which the carrier is paid.
- Carrier - The party responsible for shipping the item(s) in the order.
- Order # - The sales order number or purchase order number the shipment is associated with.
If you’ve set a logo and main contact phone in the Company section of the Settings module, they will appear on the top-left of the report. The month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) the report was generated on are on the bottom-left. The page number appears on the bottom-right.
To the right of the report, you will find a number of options to customize the information contained in the report.
Required and optional
The Required section has a single dropdown menu: Ship Number. This allows you to generate a Packing List for any shipment you have created, even if it’s different than the one you’re currently looking at in the Shipping module.
The Optional section is below the Required section. It includes the following options to modify the report:
- Contact to Show - A dropdown menu that lets you change the Ship to section above to contain one of two options:
- Address Name - The Ship To address in the Shipping module. This option is the default if nothing is selected.
- Sales Order contact - The Ship To address on the sales order or purchase order the shipment is for.
- Order Number - A dropdown menu that lets you change the Order # section above to contain one of two options:
- Customer PO Number - The customer SO/PO number associated with the order. This will most likely be different than the order number in Fishbowl Drive.
- SO number - The sales order number or purchase order number generated by Fishbowl Drive for this order. This option is the default if nothing is selected.
- Title - A textbox that lets you enter a report title. You can call it something generic like “Packing List” or something more specific like “[Customer]’s Packing List.” The title will appear on the top-right of the report.
- Show Backordered Items - A checkbox that enables items that are not currently in stock, but have been reordered, to appear on the Packing List. However, this will only take effect if you click the Item Number checkbox in the Columns section below.
- Show Shipping Service - A checkbox that adds Ship Service in between Carrier and Order Num in the report. This identifies the service provided by the carrier to deliver the item(s).
- Show Barcode - A checkbox that places a barcode near the top of the report, which can be scanned to pull the Packing List up on a mobile device.
- Show Package Info - A checkbox that adds a variety of information to the report about the package(s):
- Package # - The identifying number of each package in the shipment.
- Weight - The total mass of each package along with its unit of measure.
- Tracking # - The tracking number provided by the carrier for each package being shipped.
- Total Weight - The total mass of all packages in the shipment along with its unit of measure.
- Package Count - The total number of packages in the shipment.
- Show Company Name - A checkbox that places your company name on the top-left of the report.
- Show Order Notes - A checkbox that adds a Notes line under the Bill to address containing any notes written in the Details tab of the order’s entry in the Sales Orders module or Purchase Orders module.
- Show Tracking - A checkbox that adds a Tracking column under the Package Info section showing what tracking criteria has been assigned to each item.
You can click the Select All Optional checkbox to check all of the checkboxes in the Optional section. That will do everything listed above in the Optional section except for what is in the three textboxes/dropdown menus. Those can only be modified manually.
Columns
The Columns section enables you to add the following parts to the report:
- Description - A checkbox that adds a column to the left of the Tracking column showing the description of the item found in the Edit Sales Order Item wizard or Edit Purchase Order Item wizard in the Sales Orders module or Purchase Orders module, respectively.
- Qty Ordered - A checkbox that adds a column in between the Description and Tracking columns showing how many units of each item are in the shipment.
- Qty Shipped - A checkbox that adds a column in between the Qty Ordered and Tracking columns showing how many of the units in the order have been shipped.
- Line Number - A checkbox that adds a number to the left of each item in the shipment, indicating its relative position and the total number of items in the shipment.
- Item Number - A checkbox that adds an Item column in between the Line # and Description columns showing each item's name.
- Qty Remaining - A checkbox that adds a column in between the Qty Shipped and Tracking columns showing how many units of an item have yet to be shipped.
The Packing List report doesn't have the option to add custom fields. Nor does it have the ability to create different themes and layouts, like you can in the Sales Order report. However, you can create a new preset by clicking the CREATE NEW PRESET button when you have selected all of the information you want the report to include.
Create a new preset
To apply your changes and see what they will look like in the report, click the GENERATE REPORT button on the bottom-right.
To save a revised report’s settings for easy access in the future, click the CREATE NEW PRESET button on the top-right of the wizard. A popup will appear asking for just one thing: Preset Name. Add any name you like. For example, it can be the name of some of the settings the report includes. Then click the SAVE button. You can either do this before you begin making changes to the report, or you can do it at the end. If you want to make additional changes to the report, click the UPDATE button. The CREATE NEW PRESET button changes to UPDATE when you’re in a report preset.
Additional presets
To create another report preset, first click the X to the right of the dropdown menu containing the name of the current preset. Then you can go through the same steps above to create a new preset.
The first report preset you create will automatically be the default. Once it’s saved, there will be a Default checkbox option above the UPDATE button.
If this isn’t the first time you’ve opened this wizard, and you previously created at least one preset, you will see the default report preset first thing. And you will be able to see all of the report presets you have saved listed in the dropdown menu on the top-right.
To set a new default report preset, click the Default checkbox in it and click the UPDATE button. If you uncheck the Default checkbox on the default report preset and click the UPDATE button, you’ll receive an error message. That’s because there usually has to be a default. However, if you delete the default report preset, there won’t be a default report, and it will show the original default options when you click the Packing List option under the
More button in an individual shipment. That is, until you select a report preset as the default or create a new one.
To delete a report preset, first click the trashcan icon next to the UPDATE button. Then click the red DELETE button in the message that pops up.
Once you save a preset as the Default and then leave and return to the Shipping module, that preset will show up when you click the Packing List option under the
More button.
Packing List report options
The following buttons are at the top of the Packing List report to allow you to make adjustments and send the report to other people. Tooltips appear when you mouse over these buttons for a couple seconds. They succinctly explain what each one does.
- Zoom Out - This makes the text in the report appear smaller.
- Reset - This restores the report to its original size.
- Zoom In - This makes the text in the report appear larger.
- Next Page - If a report has multiple pages, this button enables you to move to the next page.
- Previous Page - If a report has multiple pages, this button enables you to move to the previous page.

- Download PDF - This enables you to download a report into a PDF, which you can open with Adobe Acrobat.
- Print Report - This enables you to print a hard copy of a report.
- E-mail Report - This enables you to email a report to as many recipients as you like. It opens a popup where you can add email addresses in the To, Cc, and Bcc textboxes. Then you can add a subject and message. Click the SEND button to send the email with the report as a PDF attachment. If the recipient doesn’t receive the email, they will need to check their junk folder and add fishbowl@fishbowlonline.com to their address book so that future emails aren’t marked as spam.
- Expand - This expands the report to the full size of your browser window. When you click this button, it changes to a Contract button, which you can click to return the report to its previous smaller size.
Shipping Invoice report
To view and modify the Shipping Invoice report, click the
More button in the action bar of a shipment and click Report. There are two options you will see listed:
- Packing List
- Shipping Invoice
Click the Shipping Invoice option, and it will generate that report for the shipment you’re currently viewing. Unlike the Packing List, the Shipping Invoice has its title automatically on the top-right of the report. And it can’t be changed or removed. The Shipping Invoice initially displays the following sections and columns by default:
- Order # - The order number this shipment is associated with. By default, this is the sales order number or purchase order number generated by Fishbowl Drive. But there is a feature in the Optional section that lets you use the customer PO/SO number or ship number instead.
- Date - The month, day, and year (MM/DD/YYYY) the order was shipped. If the shipment hasn’t yet been made, this section will be blank.
- Bill to - The customer’s address to send bills to for the order.
- Ship to - The final destination of the item(s) in the order.
- Item - The name of the item in the Items module.
- Description - Information about the item from the Edit Sales Order Item wizard or Edit Purchase Order Item wizard in the Sales Orders module or Purchase Orders module, respectively.
- Qty - The number of units in the order that have been shipped.
This allows you to generate a Shipping Invoice for any shipment you have created, even if it’s different than the one you’re currently looking at in the Shipping module.
The Optional section is below the Required section. It includes the following options to modify the report:
- Order Number - A dropdown menu that lets you change the Order # section above to contain one of three options:
- Customer PO Number - The customer SO/PO number associated with the order. This will most likely be different than the order number in Fishbowl Drive.
- SO number - The sales order number or purchase order number generated by Fishbowl Drive for this order. This option is the default if nothing is selected.
- Ship number - The number assigned to the shipment, which is usually identical to the sales order number or purchase order number.
- Show Barcode - A checkbox that places a barcode near the top of the report, which can be scanned to pull the Packing List up on a mobile device.
- Show Shipping Service - A checkbox that adds Ship Service in between Carrier and Date Scheduled in the report. This identifies the delivery service provided by the carrier.
- Show Package Info - A checkbox that adds a variety of information to the report about the packages:
- Package # - The identifying number of each package in the shipment.
- Weight - The total mass of each package along with its unit of measure.
- Tracking # - The tracking number provided by the carrier for each package being shipped.
- Total Weight - The total mass of all packages in the shipment along with its unit of measure.
- Package Count - The total number of packages in the shipment.
- Show Company Name - A checkbox that places your company name on the top-left of the report.
- Show Totals - A checkbox that adds the following fields to the bottom-right of the report underneath all items:
- Subtotal - The total amount due before taxes are added.
- Sales Tax - The total amount of taxes due for all items in the order.
