From Fishbowl Drive

FBO Dashboard 1.png

  • The Dashboard gives you a quick glimpse into your business activities.
  • Using the date filters, you can select a time period and then view your revenue, income, expenses, items sold, etc.
  • Near the top-left corner of the dashboard are three sections: General, Sales, and Purchasing. Select any of the sections to view interactive graphs and detailed data.

The Dashboard module is the initial module that appears when you first log into Fishbowl Drive. It is accessible from the top of the side navigation under the Home module group.

Top section

Dashboard module - General tab.png

The Dashboard module shows you a brief summary of your business operations. At the top of the module are the following boxes that contain information about your inventory and sales:

  • REVENUE - The amount of revenue (in dollars) taken in during the selected date range. It also shows the percent change up or down in your revenue from the previous month. All revenues are displayed in the graph at the top of the General tab and the Sales tab.
  • SALES ORDERS - The number of sales orders that were fulfilled during the selected date range. It also shows the percent change up or down in the number of sales orders from the previous month. Open sales orders are listed on both the General tab and the Sales tab.
  • ITEMS SOLD - The number of units that were sold in the sales orders during the selected date range. It also shows the percent change up or down in the units sold from the previous month. All sold items are listed on the Sales tab.
  • EXPENSES - The cost of items that were purchased during the selected date range, plus any other expenses that were paid. It also shows the percent change up or down in your expenses from the previous month. All expenses are displayed in the graph at the top of the General tab and the Purchasing tab. The purchased items are listed on the Purchasing tab.
  • LOW STOCK - The number of items whose quantities in stock have reached their reorder point during the selected date range. The items that need to be restocked are listed at the bottom of the General tab.

The information in this module is directly affected by the date range you select on the left side of the screen. By default, the month to date is shown in the From field, so if you’re viewing it on the 15th, it will include the first 15 days of that month. And the matching date range from the previous month appears in the To field.

You can adjust both of these fields to any date range by clicking them and selecting dates on the calendar that pops up. Please note that the number of days in the To field must always match the number of days in the From field.

Also, when you leave the Dashboard module and then return to it, the date ranges will reset to the default. So you will have to set them to different dates again if you want to see something else.

The rest of the module is split into three tabs:

  • General
  • Sales
  • Purchasing

General tab

The General tab appears in the module by default. It showcases your daily income and expenses, sales by region, open sales orders, and low-stock items.

Profit graph

Dashboard module - Profit graph.png

The Profit graph appears near the top of the General tab. It shows a line graph of all of the sales and expenses accumulated during the selected date range, and it compares them to the previous date range.

To see exact dollar numbers, hover your mouse over points on the graph. This will bring up how much money falls into the following categories on each day in the chart:

  • Previous Income
  • Latest Income
  • Previous Expense
  • Latest Expense

Sales by region

Dashboard module - Sales by Region.png

The Sales by Region map shows the dollar amount of all sales orders that have been fulfilled in the selected date range. Not only that, but it shows how much money came in from each country in the world. Each country is color-coded so that darker colors have more sales and lighter colors have fewer.

To see the exact amount of money accepted from customers in a particular country, mouse over it, and that figure will appear in a popup. The value of other orders that aren’t tied to a particular geographic location is also displayed on the top-left of the map.
