Access Rights

From Fishbowl Advanced

Access rights are assigned in the User Group module. The list below shows all of the user access rights in Fishbowl as well as a brief description of each right. Every company is different, so carefully review the access rights and make changes where necessary. Click a link below to jump to the corresponding section of the list.

  • The access rights on this page are sorted alphabetically. To sort the access rights alphabetically, click the Access Right column header.

Accounting Integration

  • Export - Allows a user to export data to the accounting system
  • Import - Allows a user to import data from the accounting system
  • Integration - Allows a user to connect and disconnect an accounting integration
  • Mark As Posted - Allows a user to mark all pending data as posted so that nothing is exported to the accounting system
  • Options - Allows a user to open the Accounting Integration module options
  • Repost - Allows a user to repost data to the accounting system

Calendar

  • Edit - Allows a user to modify and create Calendar events
  • View - Allows a user to open the Calendar module
  • Category-Edit - Allows a user to create and modify Calendar categories by right-clicking a category in the Categories tab

Carrier

  • Delete - Allows a user to delete Carriers
  • Edit - Allows a user to modify and create Carriers
  • View - Allows a user to open the Carrier module

Fishbowl Checkout

  • Credit Return - Allows a user to add credit return items in Fishbowl Checkout
  • Discount - Allows a user to add a discount item. For users without this right, an admin override dialog will be displayed
  • Drop Ship - Allows a user to change an item type to drop ship
  • Edit Custom Fields - Allows a user to change the custom fields on a Fishbowl Checkout order
  • Edit Unit and Total Price - Allows a user to edit the price of an item. For users without this right, an admin override dialog will be displayed
  • Miscellaneous Item - Allows a user to add a miscellaneous item
  • Options - Allows a user to open the Fishbowl Checkout module options
  • Pricing Rules - Allows a user to open the pricing rule dialog. For users without this right, an admin override dialog will be displayed
  • View - Allows a user to open the Fishbowl Checkout module
  • Void - Allows a user to void a Fishbowl Checkout order

Class

  • Delete - Allows a user to delete Classes
  • Edit - Allows a user to modify and create Classes
  • Options - Allows a user to open the Class module options
  • View - Allows a user to open the Class module

Company

Consignment

  • Inventory - Allows a user to move, scrap, cycle, and view tracking for consignment inventory
  • Location - Allows a user to create new Consignment locations
  • Options - Allows a user to open the Consignment module options
  • PO - Allows a user to create Purchase Orders from the Consignment module
  • SO - Allows a user to create Sales Orders from the Consignment module
  • TO - Allows a user to create Transfer Orders from the Consignment module

Currency

  • Delete - Allows a user to delete currencies
  • Edit - Allows a user to modify and create currencies
  • View - Allows a user to open the Currency module

Custom Field

Customer

  • Accounting - Allows a user to view the Check Balance button
  • Card on File - Allows a user to access the Card on File tab in the Customer module
  • Delete - Allows a user to delete Customers
  • Edit - Allows a user to modify and create Customers
  • Options - Allows a user to open the Customer module options
  • Override Hold - Allows a user to override a customer hold that is preventing an order from being processed
  • See All Customers - If a user does not have this access right, they will only see customers that are assigned to them and customers without a default salesperson. A customer can be assigned to a salesperson on the Details tab in the Customer module
  • View - Allows a user to open the Customer module

Dashboard

Data

  • Delete - Allows a user to delete saved queries
  • Edit - Allows a user to modify saved queries
  • View - Allows a user to open the Data module

Data Import

Discount

  • Delete - Allows a user to delete Discounts
  • Edit - Allows a user to modify and create Discounts
  • View - Allows a user to open the Discount module

File Storage

  • Bill of Materials - Allows a user to click the File Storage button at the top of the Bill of Materials module
  • Box.com - Allows a user to access files that are stored in Box.com
  • Company - Allows a user to click the File Storage button at the top of the Company module
  • Customer - Allows a user to click the File Storage button at the top of the Customer module
  • Dropbox - Allows a user to access files that are stored in Dropbox
  • Google Drive - Allows a user to access files that are stored in Google Drive
  • Manufacture Order - Allows a user to click the File Storage button at the top of the Manufacture Order module
  • OneDrive - Allows a user to access files that are stored in OneDrive
  • Part - Allows a user to click the File Storage button at the top of the Part module
  • Product - Allows a user to click the File Storage button at the top of the Product module
  • Purchase Order - Allows a user to click the File Storage button at the top of the Purchase Order module
  • Receiving - Allows a user to click the File Storage button at the top of the Receiving module

  • Auto MO - Allows a user to generate Manufacture Orders for items with low inventory levels using the Auto MO button
  • Can Always Change Custom Fields - Allows a user to change custom fields on a fulfilled Manufacture Order
  • Can Always Change Memos - Allows a user to change memos on a fulfilled Manufacture Order
  • Can Always Change Notes - Allows a user to change notes on a fulfilled Manufacture Order
  • Can Always Change WO Notes - Allows a user to change Work Order notes on a fulfilled Manufacture Order

  • Allow Over Picking For Work Orders - Allows a user to pick quantities greater than those originally on a work order
